The protagonist walks into the ordinary diner, not unlike any others, with a few weird pictures here and there on the walls. Behind the counter stands a nicely dressed man with an ambiguous expression on his face. On the counter is a plate full of delicious-looking pancakes. The man keeps his gaze on the hero wherever he goes, but that isn't discouraging for him.
The protagonist consumes all the pancakes, while the man behind the counter watches idly. After he's finished, a previously closed door opens behind the protagonist, welcoming him inside. There he embarks on a acidic journey, a constantly twisting and changing corridor is composed of all kinds of materials and objects that shouldn't be there, from all over the world, including the ever present nicely dressed man in a top hat, multiplied, merged with the walls, in different shapes and locations.
At the end, a white glow consumes our hero, and all he can see is darkness. But through the drug-induced fever dream he can hear a police car with the siren on approaching the diner.
A policeman exits the car and knocks on the door, steps inside and, judging by the noises, gets stabbed several times and dragged away. The protagonist awakes to find himself at the end of the relatively uneventful corridor with nothing special there.
Behind the counter itself are a few odd-looking mushrooms, apparently, one of the ingredients of the pancakes that he wasn't informed about. The protagonist is trapped in his apartment alone. The windows are boarded up, his bed is just a mattress lying on the floor, there is only one table with two chairs beside it and a small handful of other cheap furniture around, such as a working computer, a cutting board with a meat cleaver near it and a portable stove.
