Portal and Portal 2 are both great, but in different ways. The original is very minimalistic and very streamlined. The humor is extremely sarcastic and passive-aggressive, but it is definitely hilarious.
The game lasts exactly long as it has to last and no longer, so it's a short experience 2 and a half to four hours depending on your skill level.
And the boss battle at the end is one of the best of all time. Portal 2 has more over the top, laugh out loud humor.
