Alternatively, turn off the amp double-pole stove breaker inside the breaker box if your stove is hardwired inside the wall.
Open the oven door and look beneath the front of the glass stovetop. Remove the screws, using a Phillips screwdriver. Close the oven door. Raise the Frigidaire glass stovetop and support it with a wooden dowel. Alternatively, ask and assistant to hold the top in the raised position. Lower the brackets and burners to the top of the stove cabinet.
Remove the support from the stovetop, if applicable. Lay the original Frigidaire glass stovetop face down on a stable work surface or on the floor.
